How to set up Single Sign-On (SSO)

There are various different single sign-on options supported for Room Booking System. Each of which provides user access to the system without needing to enter a separate username or password on every visit.

Note: new users are (if you wish) created on Room Booking System when they log in for the first time via your chosen single sign-on service. If your system already has  existing Room Booking System users at the point you decide to use SSO these may be duplicated if their existing username does not match the username in your SSO. We recommend checking that this is the case and changing the usernames of those existing users - via  Home > Users > Manage Users -  to match if required. If you have a lot of existing users on your system you can send us a spreadsheet of the users that need to be changed, which includes the existing username and the desired username, and we can do a bulk change for you.

Active Directory Federation Services (ADFS)

ADFS supports authentication SP initiated SAML logins and is supported through that framework. You can find out how to setup ADFS authentication here: ADFS (SAML): How to set up authentication.

G Suite

G Suite also supports the SAML framework.

Contact Frog Support and ask them to enable the Room Booking System SSO app. Frog will then contact our support team who will complete the setup and advise you as soon as the process is complete.
